60 teams confirmed for Loloma Heights Annual 7s in Savusavu
Sixty local 7s teams have confirmed their participation for the Loloma Heights Annual 7s tournament.Tournament coordinator Semi Bose told fijivillage Sports that eight teams have registered for the women’s category and 24 teams will take part in the men’s division.Bose says twelve teams will feature in the Under-17 category, while 16 teams will compete in the Under-21 division.
He says the tournament aims to empower youth in the Wailevu area to engage in rugby and other positive activities, rather than turning to harmful behaviours.
He adds that the event was introduced to fill the rugby off-season in the area, with competition set to resume in January next year.
The Loloma 7s kicks off tomorrow and will run until Friday at Ganilau Park in Savusavu.
