The Fijian Elections Office has so far approved 6 people for this year’s general elections.
They are independent candidate, Rajendra Prasad Sharma and five candidates of the New Generation Party led by Acting Leader, Varinava Tiko.
The FEO has received nominations from SODELPA, Fiji Labour Party and National Federation Party.
The People’s Alliance and FijiFirst Party are also expected to file their candidate nominations later today.
Meanwhile, 1,808 postal voting applications have been approved.
