Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong

55 participants including Ministry of Health officials, RFMF personnel and other officials will benefit from the Computing for Health Professionals Training that was officially launched today at the FNU campus in Samabula. The training will empower participants to execute digital operations of medical facilities with state of the art technology.

While launching the training, Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong says managing and maintaining large amount of data to forecast future threats is very important to them.

Dr Fong says it's important that health officials are well prepared to collect and analyze data when needed.

He says they need health professionals or anybody who is working in that area to recognize the importance of gathering and presenting reliable information.

He adds that during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Health Ministry and its partners were struggling in this area.
