He revealed this during the Force’s International Women's Day celebration today.

The Fiji Police Force has a total of 4,756 officers. 1,065 are female officers.

Qiliho says they have changed a few things in the Force to give opportunities to women serving along with male officers by bringing in pepper sprays to make their job easier.

He says today is a great day for women around the country as we remember their achievements.

New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Fiji, Charlotte Darlow says they are also promoting gender equality.
