A 34-year-old man is being questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department’s Cyber Division for allegedly circulating Viber messages claiming to be from the Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu, and requesting money.
Police say the man was arrested in Wainibuku and taken into custody at the Nakasi Police Station.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have received a Viber message from either 8373541 or 8369719, claiming to be from Tudravu, to call 9905226.
