A 3-year-old boy has drowned in a swimming pool at a house in Martintar, Nadi.
Police say the boy was found motionless.
It is reported the child was left in the care of relatives when the alleged incident occurred.
Police say investigators will be looking into the element of negligence regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.
The national drowning toll currently stands at 39 compared to 33 for the same period last year.
