263 graduate from Pacific Polytech in technical training and skills development

263 students today graduated from the Pacific Polytech Nabua Campus in fields of trades, agriculture, ICT, tourism, business, health and skills development.

Pacific Polytech Head of Centre for Professional, Technical and Skills Development, Maikeli Naikawakawavesi says the graduates are from the ages of 17 to 68 years with a plan to better their lives and start a business.

Minister for Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru says their achievement today is a testament to the excellence in making a positive impact in society and encourages students to continue to pursue their dreams by never giving up.

Consultant and Trainer of the Technical Training Program, Maria Nayacalevu says the students looked forward to this day with excitement, and they, as trainers, are so happy to see their achievements.

Nayacalevu adds that a 40-year-old mother from Visama who was part of the Technical Training program passed away earlier this week, and a few of the students who were taking the same course with her were not able to attend the graduation because of the funeral.

Nayacalevu further says these students are regular people who are trying to have a life and provide for their families.
