21-year-old Petero Uluilakeba from Savusavu has been remanded in custody for the alleged murder of a 58-year-old man in Tavuki, Taveuni earlier this month.
Uluilakeba is charged with one count of murder and appeared in the Taveuni Magistrates Court this afternoon.
The case has been transferred to the Labasa High Court and will be called again on the 14th of May.
Police had earlier stated that the man’s body was found outside his home in Tavuki with visible injuries and blood was found inside the house.
