The 2024 Coca-Cola Games was one of the successful and incident-free event which not only showcased the remarkable talent of our young athletes but also marked a significant milestone in the ongoing commitment to road safety.
This was highlighted by Land Transport Authority Board of Chair Inosi Kunidrani during the post-event gathering of the Road Safety Enforcement Operations, stakeholders gathering involved in the 2024 Coca-Cola Games.
He says the stakeholders have not only staged a successful sporting event but also a significant act to promote road safety.
Meanwhile, Fiji Secondary School Athletics Association representative Iferemi Turuva says 156 schools were represented at the 2024 Games with 2,861 athletes and more than 15,000 supporters and cheerleaders.
He says the stakeholders had worked very well for the successful event as there were significant changes in the games with safety measures.
The stakeholders included the Ministry of Education, the Land Transport Authority, Fiji Secondary School Athletics Association and the Fiji Police Force.
