The first V6 marathon competition since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared is currently underway at Wailoaloa Beach in Nadi.
It marks the start of the Outrigger calendar year.
There are four different races and they are the 7 kilometres race in the mixed category, the 9 kilometres race in the women's category and the 12 kilometres race in the men's category.
There are also stand-up paddling races.
Clubs like Takia, Lami Waitui, Raiwaqa, USP, Vuda, Nausori Delta, Nadi Bay, Kaiwai and Suva stand up paddling team are competing.
The first race in the mixed category has finished with Kaiwai Cagi winning and Lami Waitui settling for second place.
Kaiwai Ua finished in third place.
