Breaching social gathering guidelines continues to be an issue as 18 people from different households were arrested for drinking grog in Nadurumoli Settlement in Kiuva, Tailevu while 4 men were found operating a non-essential business in Lautoka.

6 people were found breaching social gathering restrictions and drinking grog in Cunningham while a 42-year-old taxi driver was found driving without a pass during curfew hours.

39 cases were recorded over the last 24 hours for breaching curfew orders and health restrictions.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says 2 people were found loitering in Ba during curfew hours while a 24-year-old man of Lautoka was found walking in Tomuka.

Tudravu says two people aged 21 and 18 years were found intoxicated during curfew hours at Nakorokula Village in Nadroga.

He says 4 people including a juvenile were arrested in Nabalabala Village in Ra for crossing the Naiserelagi containment zone.

The Central and Northern Divisions recorded no cases.
