145 women graduate from FNU’s engineering, TVET, NPTC and maritime studies programmes

It is a proud day as 145 women will graduate from the Fiji National University under the College of Engineering and Technical Vocational Education and Training, the National Training and Productivity Centre, and the Pacific Centre for Maritime Studies at the Vodafone Arena today.

In total, 541 students are graduating today, while 1,693 graduates are expected over the three-day graduation event, concluding today.

Of these, 917 are women and 776 are men.

While speaking to the graduates, Minister for Policing, Ioane Naivalurua reminded the graduates that today marks a new beginning as they venture into the workforce.

Naivalurua says today is the result of persistence through difficult times, maintaining focus amidst distractions, and summoning inner strength to navigate the most challenging moments.

He also reminded the graduates that leadership is about truth and character.
