The 13 police officers who were questioned in relation to the death of 35 year old Richard Mock are still within the Fiji Police Force and have not been suspended.
It is alleged Mock died in Police custody and allegations surfaced that officers dumped his body at a vacant lot in Nasau, Nadi in February this year.
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu says the investigation file is still with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
When questioned by fijivillage News on what criteria does the Force follow when deciding on suspending officers, Tudravu says it depends on the gravity of the offence that has been committed.
When questioned on what people can do if they believe the officers are dragging their feet, Tudravu says people can come with evidence and report.
He says they have their dedicated Internal Affairs team that solely investigate their officers.
