$1.2 million has been paid out by the Ministry of Finance to 6,204 students today as Back to School Support for the 2025 school year.
The Ministry of Finance says out of this, around 5,500 applications are for students who have successfully enrolled in Year 13 this year.
The Ministry says so far, they have paid around $42 million to 209,696 students as Back to School Support for the 2025 school year.
They say they would like to advise the students who have yet to enrol in Year 13 that the Ministry will facilitate the payment to all eligible students once the enrollment is complete.
The Ministry says for those parents who have yet to receive their children’s Back to School Support, the Ministry would like to advise that they have noted issues with their applications, including incorrect/unregistered mobile numbers, wrong birth registration numbers or other incorrect/incomplete information in their application forms.
The Ministry further says this includes around 1000 applications, and the Ministry is working with the Ministry of Education to assist these parents, where possible.
