Halfback Brad Weber will join his All Blacks teammate Sam Cane as co-captain of the Chiefs for their 2021 Super Rugby season.
A fixture with the Hamilton-based side since 2014, the 30-year-old has led the side as a stand-in on several occasions, but will now officially wear the armband in tandem with Cane.
The Super Rugby Aotearoa begins this Friday with defending champions Crusaders taking on the Highlanders at 6.05pm.
The Blues will face the Hurricanes at 6.05pm Saturday.
