Heavy Rain Alert in force for Central and Eastern Divisions

People should expect more rain as a Heavy Rain Alert is now in force for the Central including Suva/Nausori-Tailevu areas, Coastal areas of Serua-Namosi, interior of Serua-Namosi, Naitasiri, the Eastern Division including Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti and Lau groups and Southern Bua and Cakaudrove province.

A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office says Tropical Disturbance 03F lies to the Northeast of Fiji and is moving Southeastwards towards Tonga at about 10km per hour.

They say it is moving away from the country while associated trough with cloud and rain will affect the Southern and Eastern parts of Fiji.
