FijiFirst MP, Sachida Nand says its time the opposition works with the government in order to put people first.
He highlighted this in his maiden speech in parliament after being sworn in as a new Member of Parliament.
Nand has taken over the seat of former Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa after her resignation as a MP.
Nand says he comes with an open mind and this is the time in parliament when they should all work together in rebuilding the economy and giving Fijians the best possible opportunity for economic growth and prosperity.
He says they should have constructive discussions rather than arguing for the sake of arguing and doing cheap political points scoring.
