Nadroga soccer rep, Paula Buke has dedicated his Courts IDC Senior Division Best Player Award to his mum who has been a pillar of strength for him.
Buke’s mum was amongst the crowd yesterday as they won the senior division title by beating Bua 3-0.
He says he was raised by his mum as a single parent and she always encouraged him to play soccer as he loves the sport.
The former national rep began his soccer career with Ba in 2014 and has also played for Rewa.
The Police officer says he is working hard to be recalled for national duties.
Buke has also won gold in the Intermediate Boys 800 metres in 2011 for Xavier College.
