A man has suffered multiple fractures on his leg and will undergo surgery after a violent attack at Mead Road Housing on Saturday.
Police say another person who was attacked in this incident also remains admitted in hospital in a stable condition.
A man who was arrested following the incident remains in police custody and is expected to be questioned today.
A group of people showed up on Saturday afternoon and allegedly assaulted some people.
They were allegedly armed with cane knives, steel rods and pieces of timber.
