The overseas shoot for King, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, has been cancelled due to the ongoing West Asia crisis.

The team had planned a week-long desert action sequence in Dubai from April 9th, featuring Suhana and Anil Kapoor, however, despite securing approvals, the schedule was scrapped to prioritise safety.

The sequence will now be filmed in Mumbai, where a Vile Parle studio has been converted into a desert set, offering better control for action and lighting.

In late 2025, the makers released a short title promo for King, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in a new, lethal look.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Arshad Warsi.

The film is expected to release on December 24th.
